Fashion shooter!

In vielen Fantasyfilmen oder mittelalterlichen Produktionen sieht man sie: Die Bogenschützen. Sie schießen über weite Distanzen, treffen zielsicher die Feinde und machen dabei auch noch eine gute Figur. Klar, dass ich das ausprobieren musste. Also ab zum Kurs und erst mal die richtige Technik lernen. Um richtig zu Schießen muss man sich etwa schulterbreit und seitlich zur Zielscheibe hinstellen. Dann platziert man den Pfeil an seiner Auflage am Bogen und hinten an der Sehne. Nun muss man alles in eine aufrechte Position bringen und zieht anschließend mit dem Armen, dessen Hand an der Sehne liegt, nach hinten. Zum Schluss kommt noch das Zielen und das Loslassen der Sehne. Im besten Fall landet der Pfeil dann wo er soll. Besonders wichtig ist auch den Arm, der am Bogen ist, so zu strecken, dass die Armbeuge nicht in die Bahn der zurück schnellenden Sehne gelangt, sonst hat man böse blaue Flecken. Es hat etwas gedauert, bis ich mich mit dem Bogen so auskannte, aber es klappte später schon ganz gut. Und es hat super viel spaß gemacht.

you can find them in all this fantasy and medieval movies: Archers! They shoot enemies from far distances while looking incredible good. Of course this was something I wanted to try. So I went to a course and learned the technics at first. You need to stand sideways in front of the target, put the arrow to it's right place and get the whole construction up. Afterwards you need to hold the bowstring with your hand and pull it back. Now aim and let the bowstring go. At the best the arrow lands where it should. Very important is to not put the crook of the arm where the bowstrings springs after letting it go. Otherwise you get very bad bruises.

It took time after I knew how to handle the bow, but afterwards it was fun. It's a great sport.
